Skywalker Roofing prides itself on providing better roofing and related services for homes and businesses in NC and VA, but nothing excites us more than having an opportunity to give back to our local community. One way we do that is with our No Roof Left Behind (NRLB) program, through which we provide a FREE ROOF to chosen local homeowners in need.
The way NRLB works is this. We invite residents of a local county (each round of NRLB focuses on one specific community at a time) to nominate someone – a friend, family member, neighbor, or even themselves – that they feel is deserving to receive a FREE roof. Nominations are accepted over the course of about a month, and the list of nominations is narrowed down to a handful of finalists, based on the condition of their current roof, their demonstrated level of need, and their personal story. We then give everyone in our extended Skywalker Roofing community a month to cast a vote for their favorite finalist, and the finalist who receives the most votes is tapped as the NRLB winner.
Once the winning announcement is made, we then schedule an Installation Celebration at the winner’s home which includes food, fun, and a full roof replacement at no charge! Skywalker Roofing happily covers all the costs for roofing materials and labor. And because doing everything with excellence is one of Skywalker’s core values, we aren’t willing to settle for just tacking on some run-of-the-mill shingle replacements and calling it good. In fact, we installed an Owens Corning Total Protection Roofing System in McLeansville, NC for Randy Sue Prevost-Hunter (our most recent NRLB winner), which included:

In other words, Skywalker Roofing doesn’t just give our NRLB winner a roof replacement. We choose to go the extra mile and install a complete roofing system with premium components from Owens Corning, ensuring that this is the last roof the winner should ever need!
According to Skywalker Roofing founder and owner Luke Wilson, partnering with the community through No Roof Left Behind has been one of the best things Skywalker Roofing has ever done as an organization. Wilson shares, “No Roof Left Behind has touched me and changed me. It’s reminded me that this is why I’m here – to help grow and sustain a successful business so that I’ll be in a position to help as many people as possible.”
So far, Skywalker Roofing has already provided a number of free roofs for deserving residents around the Triad, and we’re proud to announce that our current round of NRLB 2019 is focused on the fine folks of Rockingham County, NC. Skywalker Roofing has service locations based in Greensboro, NC, Raleigh, NC, and Roanoke, VA, but our home office has been located in Stokesdale, NC since our founding in 2003.
We’re pretty pumped about showing some hometown love with this edition of NRLB, but if you’d like to nominate someone outside of Rockingham County, NC, just wait – your opportunity is coming! We plan to focus on other local counties in future editions of NRLB!

Votes for selected finalists will then be accepted from September 25 through October 25, and the NRLB winner will be revealed on October 31. Every vote counts!
