Meet Jason Downing. In 2016 he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), which has taken away much of his physical ability and mobility. Jason has a wife and 4 young children, and facing the challenges of MS has not been easy for Jason and his family. To add insult to injury, their home developed a leaky roof, and they really didn’t have the resources to address it.

Jason and his family were nominated for Skywalker Roofing’s 2019 No Roof Left Behind Program, and thanks to the votes cast by members of the local community, the Downings were chosen as finalists and were awarded with free roof repair services. Skywalker was honored to have the opportunity to get to know the Downings in the process, and owner Luke Wilson was inspired by Jason’s story. Despite the challenges set before him, Jason continues to try to inspire and help other people in his community. In Wilson’s words, “It was a blessing to be able to help someone like Jason who, despite his health challenges, still works so hard to help others.”
